Certification

The Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) credential is awarded by the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA). Texas law sets education and certification requirements for surgical technologists working in hospitals and ambulatory surgical centers, and most employers ask for the CST.

Relocation
