About the role

A Fort Worth neurology and stroke service is adding an acute care nurse practitioner to its inpatient neuro hospitalist team. You will manage neurology and stroke patients across the ICU and telemetry units: neurological exams, imaging and test interpretation, code stroke response and treatment planning, working alongside neurosurgery, rehabilitation and critical care. The team sees a broad range of conditions, including acute stroke, seizures, neurotrauma and neuromuscular disease, and takes part in quality improvement and teaching patients and families about recovery. What you need

  • Current Texas RN license and acute care nurse practitioner (ACNP) certification
  • BLS (American Heart Association or Red Cross)
  • At least 2 years of inpatient nurse practitioner experience
  • Strong teamwork and documentation

Strongly preferred

  • Neurology, neuro-ICU or hospitalist background
  • Stroke certification or procedural skills such as EEG or lumbar puncture
